A student competition within the wider Isidima Education Ambassador Movement
Universities across Europe are being invited to compete in a simple but powerful challenge:
Which university can build the biggest network of people helping to open doors to education?
The Isidima 5 × 5 University Education Challenge brings students together to recruit Education Ambassadors, build networks, raise awareness and generate educational support for vulnerable children and students in South Africa.

🚪 WHAT IS THE 5 × 5 CHALLENGE?
The idea is simple.
An Education Ambassador:
1. Gives €5, if they are able
2. Invites 5 friends
3. Those friends invite 5 more
4. Unlocks a mystery door
Behind each door is the story of a South African child or student with a real educational dream.
A future teacher.
A doctor.
An engineer.
A scientist.
A young person who wants the opportunity to build a better future through education.

The aim is to see which university can create the greatest impact.

This is not simply about who can raise the most money.

👥 HOW DOES A UNIVERSITY GET STARTED?
Each participating university can appoint a:

The University Captain helps build the university team and connects the university with the wider Education Ambassador Movement.
They can:
Recruit a student team
Recruit Education Ambassadors
Organise campus activities
Share student stories
Build awareness
Track participation
Keep the team motivated
A University Captain does not have to do everything alone.

As the movement grows, the challenge can expand to other countries.

Isidima is working towards creating more educational opportunities for vulnerable children and students in South Africa.
The wider campaign has an ambition to raise:
